Week Three - David Aranjo

Luxury Accommodations:

On the Luxury Accommodations blog, this week the author focuses on hotels in various locations, such as: Ascone, Switzerland, Adare, Ireland, Queenstown, New Zealand, Geneva, Switzerland, Singapore, Marrakech, Morocco, and Riviera Maya, Mexico. The author not only focuses on the prime location of each establishment, they also focus on the high-end amenities each hotel has to offer. This week's postings relate to the industry because each establishment listed focuses on key selling aspects for each hotel in each location. These amenities are high selling points for these properties. The blog offers an opportunity to either "like" a posting or comment, and while a majority of viewers "like" each post, there are some comments praising the luxurious nature of each establishment.

The Holiday Inn Traveler:

Although the most recent post on The Holiday Inn Traveler is from February 2012, each post offers a variety of very important information for travelers. The most recent post focuses on the state of the coffee makers within each room. The author praises the four-cup coffee makers, however, disapproves of the single-cup coffee maker, establishing the fact that it is "labor intensive" and "cheap." This posting relates to the hotel industry because it provides important information that properties should know when they are purchasing and providing materials, such as coffee makers, for the rooms in their hotel. The comment on this post emphasizes their distaste for appliances within the hotel room, creating their fear of the possibility of the appliances' unclean states.
