David Antolini - Week One

Boston Harbor Hotel Blog

I chose this blog because I have always had interest in the Boston Harbor Hotel because of it's presence in Boston.  My cousin got married there and I remember how nice the hotel was so i was very interested in learning more through the blog.  This blog conveys its information by stating events going on in specific months using pictures and descriptions.  The blog intends to show customers of the hotel what is going on in the hotel and the area so they can have something to do during their stay.  I feel it meets its goal in the fact that it tells the reader events going on in Boston, however I feel that it could give more information on what is actually going on in the hotel.  The image the blog gives is a very high end entertainment idea for people who live luxuriously.  Yes the blogger has a presence on Facebook and Twitter.  These show more about the hotel rather than the events.  Also it has other people involved (commenting, liking, etc.).  The author clearly displays knowledge in what is going on in Boston so the readers/customers will always have something to do.

Sheraton On The Falls Blog

I chose this blog because I am doing my project on a Sheraton Hotels so I wanted to learn more about them through a blog.  Even though this blog and hotel is coming from Niagara Falls, it is still interesting to see what is being blogged about.  This blog conveys in a monthly blog where it talks about what is happening in the hotel and the changes taking place.  This blog intends to get the hotel customer to take advantage of the activities being offered in the hotel.  The blog also talks about the events going on at Niagara Falls and i does a very good job in displaying that info.  The blogger does have a presence on social websites and again it gets other people involved.  The social websites are very different because they display real life pictures from the customers.  The author claims knowledge of Sheraton Hotels in general and the amenities that are offered.  Also the author shows knowledge of events going on in the Niagara Falls area.
