Week 3 - Emily Wadman

Hyatt Hotels:
This week, there were 3 new posts.  Earlier in the week, there was a post written about the teamwork in China. The Hyatt hotels in the Shanghai area are working together, to network, share feedback, and support each other. This shows that the Hyatt hotels are committed to providing the best experience for the guests by using previous experiences from other sister hotels. The next post was an update on the renovations taking place at a franchise in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This post relates to the industry by informing the guests that the hotel can now offer more services, and the property is newer and more advanced. There were no comments left on either post, but the people that were interviewed seemed really excited about each story. The enthusiasm that is used in each post gets the reader intrigued, and possibly more likely to stay at the hotel. The last post, was a story on an artist that had recently visited a branch, and this related to the industry, because it grabs the attention of a target market, and could interest people in staying with them.

The Grand Hotel in Salem:
There were no posts in the blog, but the most recent posts have to deal with different events in the area. There was a fair, a wine stomping competition, and tea tasting recently. The posts relate to the industry because they inform the perspective guests about the events going on in the nearby area. The readers then may be more likely to stay at the Grand Hotel in Salem because they seem knowledgeable in entertainment. There were also no comments on these posts, but the posts themselves had other websites sited within where the reader could get more feedback about the event.
