Lindsey Sneider Week 3

The post I read this week was more of an announcement and advertisement.  The Black Tie Company blogged about how they were asked to manage events at Pineland Farms in Maine. This summer I worked at a wedding at the Pineland Farms and it was very beautiful there. They described how they were beginning to get their foot in the door and planning their first wedding event there as the caterers. They put a slight advertisement at the end saying, “Come see the views that few can see, and plan your next event at this pastoral and peaceful venue. We will work with you and create an event to remember, at a site that will be impossible to forget.” This is meant to target people in the market for a venue for their events to be catered.

The post I read this week on The DoubleTree by Hilton blog was announcing the signing of the new DoubleTree by Hilton in Cape Town, South Africa. This is the fifth Hilton Worldwide property to be launched in South Africa. This is a 183-room hotel in a metropolis area at the southern tip of Africa. This area is known to be one of the most popular tourist destinations. This is a good area as there are many tourist attractions such as wine-making and festivals. “Today's signing represents Hilton Worldwide's 20th pipeline property in Africa and contributes perfectly to our multi-brand growth strategy dedicated to providing our guests with a range of choices in the most important cities in Africa." The Hilton name is growing rapidly and doesn’t seem to be stopping. The amenities within the hotel include a fitness center, eight meeting rooms, a 300-person capacity event room, a business center, a bar, restaurant and a coffee shop.
