Week 2 Blog

This week in my blog of the Hawthorne Hotel the author is discussing the new fall menu for a cafe inside the hotel. The author also shows new flowers planted outside the hotel welcoming the fall weather into Salem. This information is relevant because fall is now upon us and the weather is changing, therefore so are peoples appetites. The flowers add a nice fall feeling to the hotel, and are nice for the residents of Salem to see. I think the intended target audience for this post is people who really enjoy fall, and also business people. I say business people because the new items on the cafe are a lot of grab and go sandwiches and salads for people to have a quick lunch. I do believe they meet there goal because they did a good job of advertising the menu with all the new fall items and the prices are fair for a grab and go lunch.

This week in my blog from the Carlton Hotels in Ireland they talk about an award the hotel has received. The Carlton Hotel was included in the top 10 Best Family Friendly Hotels around Ireland. The award is called the primary times star award. They won this award due to a program launched earlier this year called the Carlton Mini Explorers. This is a great opportunity for families to get away for a weekend with their children. The hotel hosts many action packed activities for the children to enjoy. While children are off enjoy themselves parents have the ability to take advantage of the spa and leisure activities in and around the hotel. The intended target for this information is clearly families. The hotel does a wonderful job of advertising their family orientated package and after the award should receive even more family guests.
